Rabbi Yosef Gavriel Bechhofer

Rabbi Yosef Gavriel Bechhofer has served as a Rav, Rebbe, Rosh Kollel and teacher in
the Chicago and New York areas. He teaches at YBH in Passaic, is an an adjunct
professor at Excelsior College, monitors yeshivos for accreditation, and serves as a
Dayan on the Beth Din of America.

He holds an M.S. in Education (concentration in Counseling and Guidance) from Johns
Hopkins University, and a Ph.D. (based on his sefer on eruvin) at the University of
Huddersfield in the UK. Rabbi Bechhofer and his wife, Dr. Shani M. Bechhofer, a
renowned authority on Jewish Education, have six children and eight grandchildren,
and live in Monsey.


Rabbi Eliezer Abish was born and raised in Montreal and learned in Telz Cleveland and Mir Yerushalayim.  He received his Semicha from Rav Shraga Feivel Zimmerman.  Using his many years of experience as a head counselor in summer camp, Rabbi Abish decided to enter the world of formal chinuch, and never left!  As a Rebbi and high school principal for more than two decades, he utilizes his communication skills and empathic personality to create and forge a warm relationship with the talmidim in order to encourage them to work diligently towards realizing their full potential.  
As a noted author and lecturer, his presentations and workshops inspire his listeners to believe in themselves and reach new heights.  Many of his lectures can be heard on  His best-selling book, Portraits Of Prayer, which is used in many high schools and shul study groups, continues to enthuse and motivate thousands with actually enjoying their davening. 
Rabbi Eliezer Abish lives in Monsey NY, with his wife, Sheva, and family.


Shuey Juravel grew up Monsey NY. He went to Bais Shraga and Telshe Chicago for high school. Upon his marriage he moved to Eretz Yisroel where he learned under Reb Simcha Maimon. He  later joined Kollel Torah Life in Cleveland under R Boruch Hirschfeld where he recieved smicha. He presently lives in Fallsburg, N.Y.and learns in south Fallsburg Yeshiva under Reb Elya Ber Vachtfogel. 

Rabbi Ginzberg has been the menahel of Mesivta Tiferes Yerushalyim on the Lower East Side for over 17 yrs. He learned 10 yrs in Chofetz Chaim before coming to MTJ in 1982. He is one of the last people zoche to receive shmicha from R Moshe Tz"l. He was in Chinuch as a melamed for decades before accepting the mantel of leadership at MTJ. He also spent 15 yrs as a Reserve Chaplain (Rov) in the US Army. He has 4 Master degrees on many different fields of study. 

He is a former EMT & former Community Board Member for over a decade. And is currently the Clergy Liaison to the NYPD as well as the Chaplain at 2 different hospitals in NYC as well as an active member of the Queens Vaad – Chevra Kadisha for over 36 yrs.

Dr. Shani Bechhofer

Dr. Shani Bechhofer is a senior consultant to principals, boards, programs, and philanthropists involved with Jewish day schools and yeshivos.  She regularly lectures, presents, and facilitates at academic conferences, professional associations, and community scholar-in-residence events.  Shani has been contributing to Jewish education for over two decades as a teacher, general studies director, menaheles, consultant, graduate school professor and researcher. 

Dr. Bechhofer currently teaches for Touro Graduate School of Jewish Studies and Torah Umesorah’s Principal Training Fellowship Program, and serves as the senior program evaluation consultant to several key foundations and organizations involved in Jewish education.  She works with numerous schools and school leaders to optimize performance and strengthen strategic capacity.  Shani lives in Monsey with her husband Rabbi Yosef Gavriel Bechhofer and is a proud mother and grandmother.

Rabbi Asher Stern is a highly respected Posek and educator and is the Rav of Congregation Bais Avrohom Zev of Lawrence, NY. Rabbi Moshe Gruenstein started off with opening his own kiruv organization, Project Heritage. He inspired hundreds to come closer to Judaism and worked tirelessly for fifteen years before becoming the Rabbi of The Young Israel of Bal Harbour. Rabbi Gruenstein has served as the Rabbi there for the past fifteen years instilling a sense of growth within his congregants. 
A motivational and captivating speaker, Rabbi Gruenstein will be joining us for Chol Hamoed. The lecture he has planned will surely be a highlight of the Pesach program.

Rabbi Avi Schnall is the New Jersey Director for Agudath Israel of America; the public policy arm and voice of the Orthodox Jewish community. As the previous national director of youth learning programs for Oorah Kiruv Rechokim, and head counselor at The Zone, Oorah's summer sleep away camp, he has a unique blend of experiences in the political arena as well as the world of kiruv. Rabbi Schnall is a dynamic speaker with a charismatic personality who touches the hearts and souls of his audiences.

Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Reinman is recognized as one of the leading Talmudic scholars, thinkers and writers of the international Orthodox Jewish community. He has written important works in Hebrew-Aramaic on Talmudic legal philosophy that are used in yeshivos all over the world. In addition, he has written 70 books in English, including history, biography, translations and a series of twelve historical novels under the pseudonym Avner Gold. In 2002, he wrote One People, Two Worlds, a very controversial book co-authored with a leading Reform rabbi.

Rabbi Reinman is also an accomplished speaker. His style is intellectual but very engaging. He has made many speaking appearances, including North Beverley Hills, San Diego, Phoenix, the Upper East Side of New York, Toronto, Indianapolis, Hartford, Philadelphia and Baltimore. Recently, he has been a guest lecturer at Gateways, in Fleischmann’s, in Anchorage and on two cruises.

Rabbi Reinman is sixty-eight years old. He resides with his wife in Lakewood, New Jersey.

Rabbi Feldheim grew up in Washington Heights, attended Yeshiva Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch & is a graduate of the Mesivta of Long Beach. He spent the next four years in Monsey & Israel studying under Rav Shmuel Faivelson - Rav Zevulun Shwartzman & the Mirrer Yeshiva. This was followed by seven years at the Lakewood Yeshiva. In 1991 Rabbi Feldheim travelled to Vilna Lithuania to open the first Yeshiva there since before the war. He was the Rabbi of Yardley Pa for 15 years during which time he founded the Bucks County Community Kollel and the Bucks County Yeshiva High School. While in Yardley he became involved in campus kiruv, starting campus outreach programs in Rutgers university and Penn State. As an expert in Jewish thought and philosophy and an engaging speaker, Rabbi Feldheim has become one of the most sought after lecturers in college outreach. Over the last 8 years, as National Lecturer for Aish Hatorah and for his own organization, Rabbi Feldheim has lectured for communities and campuses across the U.S. and around the world. He has spoken for students of almost every campus with a significant Jewish presence from Albany to Yale (none that start with Z). Rabbi Menachem Apter was born and raised in London, England. He learned for many years at the reknowned Gateshead Yeshiva, England. From there he continued his Torah learning at the Mir, Yerushalayim and later, Bais Medrash Elyon, Monsey. Rabbi Apter has been involved in Chinuch for over 25 years, teaching various grades and levels. He is currently a Maggid Shiur at Yeshiva Ohr Reuven, Monsey. In addition, Rabbi Apter is an inspirational speaker on hashkafa topics of personal growth. His lectures are enlightening and overflowing with stories and anecdotes that inspire and delight his listeners.


Rabbi Daniel Mechanic is the Founder and Director of Project Chazon. In addition to being a world-renowned lecturer on topics related to Kiruv Rechokim, he is also recognized throughout the Orthodox Jewish world as an authority on the "at-risk" teen phenomenon. After 12 years of study at Yeshiva Kol Torah, Yeshiva Gedolah of Passaic, and Yeshiva Torah Vodaas, Rabbi Mechanic joined Rabbi Noach Weinberg of Aish HaTorah in 1981 and became a kiruv professional. Trained by Aish, he spent the next 15 years working as the Director of Aish Hatorah/Discovery, where he presented hundreds of seminars and inspired thousands of ba'alei teshuva.

Rabbi Daniel Rapp is associate dean of Judaic studies and a visiting assistant professor of Talmud for the Irving I. Stone Beit Midrash Program, as well as associate dean of Judaic studies at Isaac Breuer College of Hebraic Studies at Yeshiva University.
Rabbi Rapp received his BA, cum laude, from Yeshiva College in 1990. In 1995, he received his juris doctor from Columbia University School of Law, where he was twice named a Harlen Fisk Stone scholar for academic excellence and was articles editor of the Columbia Business Law Review.
He spent two and a half years studying at Yeshivat Kerem B’yavneh in Israel and was ordained at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, receiving Yadin Yadin semicha.
Rabbi Rapp is a dayan at the Beth Din of America. He has lectured on a wide range of topics, with a focus on the interface between halacha and the modern world.

A journalist and educator by profession, Baila Sebrow is an active Shadchan/Matchmaker for many years, independently and for Saw You At Sinai. Mrs. David is a NYS Certified Teacher with a degree in Elementary Education, a Masters Degree in Communications and takes part in on-going Orton-Gillingham Training. She also brings to the organization 31 years of Marketing and Advertising experience. Mrs. David was the Founder and CEO of ‘She’ Advertising and to her credit earned a CLEO finalist award-advertisings top honor. As the mother of a bright, creative child who was not learning to read, Mrs. David created these programs to give every child the opportunity to learn to read.

Nili Couzens
Nili Couzens has been teaching and inspiring Jewish audiences of all types for almost 20 years. She has lectured in Israel, South Africa, Central America and cities across the U.S., including universities such as Penn, Tufts and Brandeis. She is the co-Founder and Director of Jewish Life Seminars (JLS) an outreach organization in Philadelphia that reaches thousands of Jews who are otherwise unaffiliated.

Mrs. Malky Tropper has over 25 years experience teaching CPR and First Aid to lifeguards, nurses and other health care professionals. She maintains instructor certificates from American Red Cross, Ashi and the American Heart Association. She teaches in Camp Sternberg, Ohel and at many nursing agencies and nursing homes. Having taught more than 15,000 students in New York State, she has won the Comprehensive Enrichment Award for her achievements in health care education. The award was signed by New York State Senator Carl Kruger in January, 2007.
